Skyclan’s Revival ////Firestar’s Quest AU

Set Up - Au Information

{This is the background information post for this au. The actual au posted after and linked}

Skyclan’s revival is a idea I thought of when thinking about my rewrite I’ve since kinda abandoned. It happens after the end of TPB. The final battle was between Tigerclan, a mix of Shadowclan and Riverclan warriors who followed Tigerstar’s way, and Lionclan made of the cats who followed Firestar to get back the clans along with a few new allies. One of them being Scourge who was the leader of a different group called the Alley Cats, his numbers used to tip the battle to Lionclan’s favor. The battle ends with Scourge and Firestar killing Tigerstar. Scourge gets the last blow with a sharp cut down the large warriors belly ending it once and for all.

As Scourge lets out a loud yell to announce their victory the battle stops. All Tiger Supporters staring in shock at the little black cat over their leaders convulsing body. Everyone watches as the last of Tigerstar’s lives are ripped from him with Scourge just licking his bloodied paw, looking through half closed eyelids as he stares at the cats who are just flabbergasted.

The remaining Tigerstar supporters are either brought back to their own clans or run away unable to follow the new way. A few Alley Cats have found bonds within the clan cats or want a new life so they join, most notably Scourge themself joining TC, Bone joining SHC and named Bonebite, Gremlin joins WC and is named Tawnysnap (Prev Tawnypelt), Brick joins SHC and is named Russetfur, Boulder joins SHC and keeps his name, Minty joins RC and is named Mintbelly.

(A few of these shift the timeline a bit especially Brick as Russetfur but idc. All of Russetfur’s scenes before are replaced by Brightflower the snappy warrior with a heart unable to leave cats out in the cold, especially those with kittens. RussetBrick also brings in her nephew Raspberry who is renamed Rowan and later becomes Rowanclaw/star. Minty becoming Mintbelly is just a full new character along with Bonebite tho Gremlin takes the place of Tawnypelt now named Tawnysnap)

Scourge settles into their new life as a story teller to many of the clans youth and a rather excellent warrior frightening most away when their on patrol. Their reputation as the cat to kill Tigerstar always following them. (Also they use they/them and is nb)

When Firestar goes to the moonstone after the great battle he is told of a clan lost to time, driven away so long ago by the clans and covered up out of shame by Tallstar. He is told that it has been told that if the struggling stragglers are not brought back the whole clan will crumble forever lost. Knowing he has to try and find them Firestar goes back to his clan and says he has to go on a journey, he planned to go alone but Sandstorm and surprisingly Scourge refuse to let him just leave so they tag along, the clan left to the care of Longtail (taking the place of Sand as deputy), Cinderpelt, and Mousefur as extra help ordering the clan.

Bramblepaw is made a warrior slightly earlier because of Fire having to leave, named Bramblestep for his journey of overcoming struggles and steady mind. Sorrelpaw is temporarily given to Mousefur to train.

I used CatGen to create custom moooostly canon accurate ThunderClan in ClanGen. This ClanGen takes place right after the battle with BloodClan, the moon Squirrelkit and Leafkit are born. Old faces like Firestar and Cinderpelt are back with their clanmates, along with Ravenpaw, Barley, Princess and Smudge outside the clans (and some StarClan and Dark Forest Spirits!) . There's a lot of canon divergence, including cats that were omitted entirely and some timeline tweaks, which are detailed below cut. Some cats I added for funsies; this ThunderClan includes a spared Scourge grappling with his actions, Swiftpaw, and Snowkit!

Omitted Cats:

General Note: A lot of cats who were dead before the events of The Prophecies Begin are not here. I'd honestly love to add more guys into StarClan and probably will, but the absurd amount of Unsavory Relationships created by the gnarled family trees of early Warrior Cats would literally make the game less fun. So a lot of cats like Redtail and Spottedleaf or Lionheart do not have parents coded into the game, and minus Thunderstar and Jake, no cats from before TPB are in StarClan. Maybe one day I'll make a living document custom ThunderClanGen, but this is just for fun, and so I'd like to steer away from that. The other clans are present, as in RiverClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan Exist in the Game, but since ClanGen only allows you to toggle the allegiances for one clan plus cats outside the clans, their warriors aren't coded into the game. This (unfortunately) includes Tawnypaw.

This is an entirely self indulgent AU and so a few cats who I just straight up don't like aren't here. Some cats didn't make it because I wanted to keep the roster small. The following list of cats are cats who were alive during the time this is occurring, but were omitted from ThunderClan:

Timeline Changes:

Longtail was blinded in the battle against BloodClan. This is so I don't have to go in and mess with code moons into the Gen and possibly mess things up/corrupt the entire file. I also didn't want to create a situation where he never goes blind - he is a canonically disabled character and I'm not going to leave it up to a coinflip/rng to honor that.

Sandstorm is deputy of ThunderClan, chosen after Whitestorm's death in the BloodClan Battle. Greystripe never occupies the position.

Snowpaw (Snowkit) is training to be a warrior. He is apprenticed to Sandstorm.

Swiftstride (Swiftpaw) survived the dog attack, sustaining many severe wounds including a lost leg.

Cultural/Canon Changes:

Cats who are disabled can decide on their role in the clan. Longtail remains a warrior after being blinded. Snowpaw eagerly pursues the path of a warrior. Cinderpelt isn't forced to become a medic. Her chronic pain and injury makes warriorhood difficult to pursue, and her time spent recovering in the medic's den with Yellowfang foster a love for healing. Both of these things inform her own choice to be a medic. As a person who has recently had to scale back on or entirely quit major passions of mine because of my own chronic pain, this story line means a lot to me. Sometimes our disabilities do keep us from walking the path in life we want, and that's okay - we can still find happiness and fulfillment just like Cinderpelt.

Queens can become deputies/leaders and leaders/deputies can have kits without being expected to give up their positions.

so as the au has developed, the one who brought infinite back was actually eggman nega, who had heard about him via silver (eavesdropping/spying) after some time travel shenanigans i guess. nega found a way to revive infinte and aimed to sort of "remake" him for his own purposes, so he removed the ruby from his chest and basically started over. he was the one who removed infinite's eye--it was blind anyway--and replaced it with the smaller version of the ruby, which had been modified. unfortunately scourge broke him out before the process was finished, so infinite doesnt really have full control over the ruby anymore, and it actually fucks with him all the time--sometimes it even acts on its own and creates terrible illusions for both him and those within a certain radius around him. my friend who ive been developing the au with call it his trauma aoe LMFAO

There's a nonzero amount of continuities where Megatron spreads the Decepticon Word through poetry. Maybe in tfa he chooses satirical comics to dunk on the ruling class.

Im guessing this is either about my shipping opinions of the Arachnus Prime tags. In either case. That is because I am wildly autistic about tf and I've watched TFA alone like four times. I'm in here snooping for bits and pieces of canon people miss. I'm dissecting shit frame by frame. I'm rotating the characters in my mind, I'm analyzing these mfs every chance I get.

If I had more energy and a bit more focus I'd literally never shut up about tf character analysis, and then when I run out of things to say I'd rewatch it again and go right back to yapping.

I love Scourge one of the most warrior cats ever. Do you wanna hear what he does never underestimate my capacity to talk about warrior cats at length whenever prompted

The Darkest Hour (2005)

Appears first in the last book of the first arc, no foreshadowing, just fucking walks in during the last arc and asserts himself, kills the main villain of the entire arc, kills the protagonist (who can revive cause. 9 lives leader power), then dies, arc ends. Like, he literally just fucking Appears.

Alright so Tigerstar is the main villain of arc 1 and he's a kittycat fascist, killed several people, became leader of ShadowClan after getting exiled from ThunderClan after an unsuccessful assassination attempt, merged ShadowClan and RiverClan together to form TigerClan (yes he named it after himself.), and also wants to take over the remaining Clans. So he went to the city and recruited BloodClan to help fight for him and Scourge agreed because they were promised a portion of the forest if they win and living in the city is miserable for all of them.

Anyway so. ThunderClan/WindClan vs TigerClan/BloodClan are about to fight. Tigerstar commands BloodClan to attack but literally none of them move because they only listen to Scourge. Firestar (protag boy) sees an opportunity to get Scourge to break the alliance with TigerClan and tells him all of Tigerstar's extensive crimes against felinity and Scourge is actually intrigued by all this new information and goes "hm. maybe I will have to think about this actually, we're not fighting now"

And Tigerstar is enraged by this, so he jumps at Scourge (presumably to either kill him for that or at least maim him severely), Scourge does an epic dodge, then as Tigerstar gets into an angle that exposes his belly he rips into it by his dog-tooth reinforced claws opening him up from the throat to the lower belly region hitting ALL of his major organs in a 1-hit KO and Tigerstar actually has a leader power that grants him 9 extra lives however his injuries are so severe that even god can't heal them and so keeps on dying and reviving to experience it all over again over and over until he finally runs out of lives and then goes straight to cat hell. This was a formulative experience for every 10 year old reading these books and probably one of the most iconic scenes in all of wc everyone and their mom in the fandom has drawn Scourge just absolutely unzipping that guy with gore flying all around the canvas

Anyway after all the non-BloodClan Clan cats are done being shocked, Scourge says that even if his deal with Tigerstar is officially off now, he'll still want to take the forest anyway because his cats are starving over in the city, but he gives the Clans 3 days to reflect on that and to either leave before then or fight them on the third day

Anyway three days later nobody leaves and so they all start killing each other. He lands a critical hit on Firestar who revives 5 minutes later (9 lives leader power) and kills him and BloodClan loses the battle and goes back to the. o7 king you had a great run

And like. The books cite that the actual reason that Scourge lost was because he was a filthy atheist. Like, Firestar goes to Barley's farm before the battle and he learns from him that Scourge has no religion to follow which is his ultimate weakness and eventual downfall it's what gives Firestar hope to beat him. Fascinating

I would also want to point out how the former main villain Tigerstar (and id say, main conflict) was a known kittycat xenophobe and fascist, who hated all outsiders and half-clan cats and saw them as subhuman, and the protag Firestar was a former outsider who joined the Clans that challenged him on that belief at least in the first few books I guess, and the actual secret big bad of the arc is.......... an evil godless outsider and his barbarous hordes. Fascinating

Also he got described as a short king (possibly the smallest cat in all of warriors tbh) with a high-pitched voice and there was massive discourse over the color of his dog tooth-studded collar. Like, it was BIG. Death threats were sent. Most of those on the frontlines kind of grew up and stopped caring before it officially was confirmed to have been purple several years later.

The Rise of Scourge (2008)

The people loved him so he got an entire backstory comic for himself like three years later. One of the extremely rare banger wc books. Thank you Scourge

As a baby his name was Tiny and he got bullied by his two siblings very hard for being small and an easy target, they either refused to play with him or beat the shit out of him when they did. He had a good relationship with his mom though. One time when families were coming to their house cause they began to reach the age of getting adopted out, he had trouble with appealing to them cause they liked his siblings more, and his sister came up to him and told him that unwanted kittens get thrown in the river. Tiny didn't want to get thrown in he river so he ran away from home and tried to go to the woods because he heard about the Clans from his mom (specifically she told him a few stories about them and in one of them she called them "a scourge on the name of all good cats") (based mom the Clans suck) and hopes they'll take him in

Anyway a ThunderClan patrol finds him on their territory and they're actually very fine with beating the shit out of a child for trespassing. Thistleclaw, mentor of Tigerpaw, who is the teenage version of Tigerstar, tells him to attack Tiny and he does, ripping out the bell from his collar and nearly killing him until he's stopped by Bluefur, before he ceases though he screams in his ear that he (Tiny) will never forget him. Then they leave, and Tiny rests a bit before running away to the city instead

(he also keeps having nightmares and flashbacks of that event for the remainder of the comic)

He starves for a bit. Notices this place fucking sucks. Gets roughed up a bit once again. A nice old kitty feels bad for him and gives him some chicken. He tries to take his collar off to blend in better with the street cats but fails. They all laugh at him. He does a big sigh. Then he finds a very old dog whose teeth just fall out and he uses one to try and break his collar but it just gets stuck. He does a big sigh. He gets hungry again and lies to some cats that he has that tooth because he actually killed a dog himself so they'll think he's epic and let him have some of their food. Then he goes to sleep and wakes up with a quest offer from Bone and Brick who heard he kills dogs apparently and want him to kill a dog that's been currently blocking the cats from a food source around. He's 12 years old and also pretty scared and was considering just ditching it and running away again for a moment, but then he climbed on top of a building and saw that the cats there in the city are doing Really Bad and are hungry and scared so he gives it a shot to try and help them somehow

He goes to fight the dog while everyone's watching and the dog actually gets scared but Tiny notices he's not actually looking at him and that he's just terrified of the shadow that Tiny casted, so he takes advantage of that and the dog runs away forever. Everybody is impressed and they ask him his name and he says it's Scourge now. He has a good time for the first time in his life but he can't really enjoy it yet cause he's too traumatized to be happy and won't be satisfied until he gets to have An Revenge against Tigerpaw

Anyway everyone at the city respects him now and give him food, and also come to him daily to ask him for help with their problems, and Scourge tries to solve all of them when he can. Anyway they ask for his help again one day because a new group showed up and they've been causing problems in the city so he goes to check that out and locks the fuck in after he sees them beating up one of his cats. He tells them to leave her alone at first but they don't care and all laugh at him cause they don't believe he's their leader because he's the cat equivalent of a 4'11 tall 13 year old boy now. He gets so mad that he rips one of their throats out which gets his cats to all get in position behind him and the intruders to get scared and leave. He has a pretty appropriate reaction to baby's first murder moment and kind of shuts down emotionally then (that many people interpreted as a villain monologue but like. um. not really i don't think that was one).

From that point on pretty much most of his cats fear him (and start bringing him trophies) and he enjoys it, but he still is a pretty normal leader to them and keeps on solving their problems whenever they come to him for help. So like. Not really as evil as he could have been tbh.

One day his siblings show up at his place when they're all adults and they want his help because their owners ended up abandoning them and they're starving. Scourge tells them he doesn't give a shit about them and to get out, but before that he still gives them some food before they leave. So like. Not as evil as he could have been lmao personally I would have been wayyy pettier

Anyway years later Tigerstar shows up at his place to propose to him that alliance from the main arc and he agrees specifically because he wants to get his revenge on him which he does btw. According to some this was a banger decision, according to others it made the Tigerstar death scene worse since in the arc Scourge was simply acting in self defense against a raging fascist that wanted him obliterated for 1 not obeying him and 2 being a foreigner, and him actually having deep beef with the guy all along kinda makes it less effective I don't remember the exact wording. Personally my opinion is that I'm in the middle lmao either is fine I guess

Other material that I refuse to consider canon because they slandered my boy so fucking hard it's unbelievable:

They retconned in Barley's backstory in some guide book that he actually was from BloodClan originally and he grew up there but it was a terrible place because Scourge forbid love and families existing and forced everyone to live alone or in evil gangs which makes no fucking sense He Would Not Fucking Do That. The hell was that choice .

They also retconned him in Leopardstar's Honor to somehow care about half-clan cats existing and feel disgusted by them which He Would Not Fucking Feel. He's literally an outsider he shouldn't give a shit about the Clans' blood purity nonsense. If anything he actually should be sympathizing with Featherpaw and Stormpaw especially because he would see himself in them (and also he hates Tigerstar) but whatever........

One of the writers describing him as the closest cat to "pure evil" in the whole wc series and like....... Um. No. Whuh

The World According to Kris (reverse!au) 3/?

With two new allies, Noah and the Freedom Racers fly to Peru to find the second half of the transwarp key. Unaware to all of them, they have two stowaways watching them in plain sight.

Stuck in a limbo between life and death, Kris watches his brother and sister-figure Elevate, a nightingale beast machine with a sonic voice and speed, fail to properly grieve his death. In process, he comes to the terrifying realization of who's to blame.

Or

Reverse Roles AU and basically Kris takes Bee’s place in RotB, killed by Scourge trying to steal the transwarp key before being revived, followed by flashbacks on Noah’s and Kris’ life before the crash that sent hundreds of Cybertronians to Earth.

“Your singing is very nice. It’s very relaxing.” Airazor whispered bashfully, turning towards that oversized nightingale who shivers her feathers in appreciation and pride, “You wouldn’t imagine it would be able to make tanks explode.”

Elena giggles softly at the compliments, a bit self-conscious by how much damage her sonic screeches actually did. She only used it once or twice but that time, it was out of blind rage. Looking back, it seems so embarrassing. She was never the fight type. That was her father. Regardless, the complement was nice.

“Oh, well thank you. I’m just happy no one was hurt.” Elena huffed, “Well, those who are important.”

Airazor lets out a soft chortle at her jab and turns her entire body to face the nightingale. She takes in her entire figure, never realizing she had a proper look at her new ally and savior. Elena’s figure is slender as much as any nightingale but she seemed to resemble a bluethroat nightingale except with lavender and a dark gray strip below it instead of blue and the orange strip. Her light gray feathers, despite dirty from soot and rubble, glimmer from the actual silver and iron blades layered in between her wings.

On the other hand, Elena has never been so close to a human before. She had only arrived on Earth a few weeks before the Autobots crashed into Earth with her calculations claiming that the transwarp key landed somewhere there millions of years ago. She often stayed out of sight up in the clouds or in caves but this is the first time she had been so up close.

Airazor’s aged face is slightly touched up by makeup and her short hair combed back with a few strands poking over her widow’s peak and hanging over her auburn eyes. Elena also notes that the scientist is thin but not bony. Behind her white lab coat and rolled up jeans, she is most definitely athletic in a way. Elena has seen her remove her coat a few times to clean it, her brown wife-beater tank top showing off her fit biceps. Primus! Stop that Elena!

While Elena tries to look anywhere but the scientist, she notices a shining piece of bronze around Airazor’s neck. Elena points to it with her wing, “What is this symbol?”

Startled out of her thoughts, Airazor looks down at what she’s pointing at. A soft and fond smile stretches across her face looking down at her necklace. She unties it and holds it gently in her palm to show, “It is the Maximal crest. Now, it is all I have left of my people.”

She was a part of a team of warriors from her tribe to protect the first half of the key. They called themselves the Maximals; Friends with the animals and fought like them. They kept the relic far away from their home for fear of people learning of its power and using it for evil. They blended into the crowd, hiding in plain sight but when UniCorp learned of its existence, they killed off her friends and family to obtain it. With Airazor left, the key was left to be protected at the museum she worked at. Looking at the necklace only reminded her of the pain but after so long, Airazor can only be reminded of its beauty.

Elena stared at the little charm, admiring the intricate designs of what appears to be a predator but it appears more brave than dangerous. “It’s beautiful.” Elena muttered in awe as Airazor tied it back around her neck before she gestures to her entire body, bowing slightly with a smirk, “Well, the whole thing is working for you.”

Airazor returns the compliment with a smug yet flushed smile, “You should’ve seen me in my 20s.”

“Oh yeah?” Elena challenges, leaning her beck dangerously close to the scientist’s face, “What you was doing? Turning human heads?”

Regardless of the close proximity, a flushed Airazor doesn’t waver. “Maybe.”

Kris watches the two banter from a far. It was funny watching more humans get along with his loved ones. Seeing his family friend and the kind but scary scientist from the museum joke with each other was sweet, especially since they looked so fond of each other. Kind of reassembled the face Mirage makes at Noah when he isn’t looking.

“Oh my Primus.” Kris loudly chokes at the realization. They like-like them. Mirage and Airazor! Gross!

“So I’m not the only one who sees the chemistry.” Breanna jokes, peering down at the Viper, who’s holding back a gag. That’s his brother! And his almost-sister! Come on!

“Ugh! They love each other!” Kris groans as his metal cheeks turn green, “Now they’re going to be all kissy and shit.”

“Ay! Language.” Kris smiles sheepishly at her mother’s scolding tone. “And they’re only going to be all kissy if Noah and Elena like them back.”

With his head snapped up at the older robot in shock, Kris points at them with a bewildered expression as if he’s pointing out the obvious, “Of course they do! I’m dead, not blind!”

The young Autobot slumps in his seat, watching Airazor slowly fall asleep on Elena’s silver wing to her song and Mirage fidgeting with his cap, his blue eyes flicking up at the sleeping green Challenger every few minutes. As sad as the sight is, it’s comforting for the dead. Not once has Kris has ever seen so much kindness towards his family within the few months they have stayed.

“Noah and Elena never had time for a conjunx. Mom always encouraged him but he was too busy looking for jobs or taking care of me to go searching.” Kris mutters as Breanna swiftly and gracefully sits next to him. When the young robot closes his eyes, he can see the memories of the real Breanna teasing Noah on his way out of the door about finding a conjunx partner soon so she can have Kris all to herself.

“And no one on Eukaris liked Elena. I guess they prefer beast modes who can fight and kill rather than study and sing.” That idea was just plain stupid in Kris’ opinion. She’s the smartest and kindest person she has ever met, with the exception of maybe his brother but he’s more protective and badass than smart and kind.

Then it just hit the Viper; His real mom is all alone. Noah and Kris never liked or even played with the idea of leaving home since there was no real reason to. This trip to Earth was a complete accident and for all Breanna knows, her sons might be dead. The fact that it’s not his actual carrier isn’t as comforting as he wants but as his optics drift to sleep, he pretends that her calming voice is.

I really like Dawn of the Future, but have now been thinking morbidly of Bahamut and his character there.

For reference, in DOTF, Bahamut intends to wipe out all of Eos due to the fact that Noctis, King of Light, and the power of the Crystal that he absorbed isn’t enough to get rid of the starscourge and Ardyn.

He revives Lunafreya, and gives her the same powers that Ardyn has - the ability to absorb the scourge. The intention is that she will absorb most of it, become the new ‘embodiment’ of the scourge, and then Bahamut can absorb that to Teraflare the shit out of the planet.

(Which indicates it is his direct fault that Ardyn has starscourge absorption powers).

I think it would have been interesting if it were the fact that Bahamut was infected with the starscourge, instead of this master level manipulator (or maybe a bit of both, that because of the starscourge infecting him he can’t directly work to save the star)?

In one translation of the game (not sure which), I think it was mentioned the meteor of the six is what led to the spread of the Starscourge on Eos.

While this just might be creative liberties with the lore of Eos, it is interesting to consider.

The way I’m looking at it is that Bahamut is linked to Eos. He is (I think) the one who bequeathed the Crystal, the literal crystallized embodiment of Eos’ life force(?), to the Lucis Caelums.

Which similarly to the other Astrals hints at a connection to the planet already present?

So. Bahamut, preventing the scourge from contaminating Eos entirely (and I don’t know, seeping into the Crystal somehow or something) just sort of sucks it into himself?

Things are fine and dandy for some time prior to the Astral war, since my personal headcanon is that Ifrit has healing powers (which is where the House of Fleuret gets them from), and can essentially keep Bahamut’s scourge at bay until the Astrals can find a plan to purge it -

And then Solheim Fucks Up by trying to kill Ifrit, leading to the Astral War.

This isn’t taking into account all the lore things from DOTF because I haven’t read it in forever, just a hodgepodge of random thoughts I tried to force into some semblance of coherency.

I adore ROTB

Sort of spoilers. I do my best not to.

I haven’t had much time to reflect on it but ahhhhhh it was so goood! This was the first time I’ve seen a transformers film in theaters and I was losing my mind but trying to be quiet.

But I just LOVE the way the maximals (idk if that’s how you spell it- I have a strictly casual relationship with the English language) move. Like Airrazor talking looked amazing to me and I loved how Primal’s nose would move sometimes. Cheetor’s run cycle! I eat that shit upppppp!! Cheetor in general was really well designed to me. I hope I can get a good toy of him (I already picked up the SS Airrazor). Cheetahs are my favorite animals even if they constantly shoot themselves in the foot, evolutionary wise. The maximals look very good IMO and I’m happy they finally got decent 3D renders. I love how big they all are as well. Like these things could destroy just about anything on earth. I also like the voices for the Maximals.

The humans were also really good. I love Noah’s relationship with his little brother and the conflict with him felt realistic and very grounded in the alien car movie. His friendship with Mirage did feel a little rushed but honestly that worked with the way he was characterized I think. Like Mirage seemed so desperate for a non auto bot friendship and he seemed to have a general affinity for humans not dissimilar to Bumblebee’s.

Also the part where Bee put on his battle mask caused me and the person who was sitting next to me to lose out collective minds. I don’t care if it’s cheesy, pull that stick out of your ass and enjoy the action! Enjoy the drama!

Also I love Mirage’s face. I wish he looked less like Jazz in his alt mode but honestly his bot mode is so cool so I don’t care that much. I also like OP’s face. It’s sort of modeled after Peter Collin’s face so it’s marvelous. I think they should have changed Wheeljacks name to Perceptor, especially sense BB movie design for Wheeljack was just so perfect but also Pablo is my son and he’s so fantastic and I love him and I’m not gonna be person 1,983 hating on this design.

Scourge was alright. I didn’t see the face reveal as too much of an issue or even note it that much in my mind. I think the fact that he collects insignia’s is really cool in a fucked up sort of way. Like it isn’t enough to just kill someone and destroy there home he also needs to disgrace their bodies. It’s also a weird way of keeping track of his victories. I thought it was kind of neat. He’s not that deep and it’s a little bit underwhelming when I think about it. Like I wish the movie had more time to do things. Because to me it didn’t feel that long, I think some extra time would have done it good.

There is a character who died who I think, realistically, should have been able to be revived and I wish that they were. Also a character gets killed and I think the maximals should have been the ones to kill them. I wish the maximals got more screen time. The movie was fairly fast paced. The movie is only 2 hours and 7 minutes long. Which is still 2 hours but I think having it go a little longer would have helped a lot of characters.

The reveal at the end almost made me scream like holy shit. I was expecting something but not THAT. I really hope we can see more decepticons next movie. Like Skywarp as a main antagonist would be so cool. Think of the fight  scenes. Think of the teleportation. Think of another purple movie robot. Please. Pleassseeee.

I though that the CGI was fine. Nothing looked off to me in a way that would pull me out of the movie. The Flash looked a lot worse and I think that movie had a higher budget. 

Optimus wanting to get home and his conflict is compelling to me. Like he doesn’t have a reason to like or trust humans. He’s been stranded on this shithole of a planet with no contact with his army or friends or home for seven years I understand why he hates it. He also has another reason to really get the hell out but spoilers. But also he comes to a general understanding with the humans and learns that they are sort of worth working with. He just wants to get home and help his friend get better and save his own world and brutally murder his enemy. He’s still very brutal but it feels different to Bayverse. That’s probably because I don’t like Michael Bay or his transformers films but you chose to read to this point so you get to deal with my weird biases.

The part where Unicron tells OP not to destroy the key and that he give him anything and OP says “then die” got me way too hyped up. Like wow. Murder dad robot is SO cool!

I love Arcee fighting with Wheeljack and standing on Rhinox, idk if it was a call back and or reference to that one beats wars  scene but I love it either way

Now to the topic, ever thought that the hero that saves the world has the best life, always happy, never went through anything rough, has perfect life & is completely perfect? Yes? Then you’re absolutely *WRONG!* Sorrel is a big hero that saved the world and his life isn’t really the best (although better than mine 0-0), isn’t always happy, did went through a lot of rough & sad things, is life isn’t perfect & even he himself has lots of problems that some might never disappear, you see, as mentioned, his mother didn’t even let him leave the house & help them find his father for YEARS, Aster was stressing over finding Versil too much to the point where he always got angry at Sorrel & was too rough with him (and he’s a big softie, every small mistake can affect him a lot, just like me), his father disappeared for 10 years (and he also did it to secretly work as a team leader of a team of criminals/team dimension), he also had daddy issues even after the xenoverse incident, his friend, Trey, died & even though he got revived it’ll still be stuck in his heart like a scar, he almost died to a god/Vakuum & even other pokemon (Vakuum is a pokemon, also, admit, almost dying isn’t really a nice feeling), he also got his entire stomach ripped (like in warrior cats where tigestar got his belly ripped apart by Scourge but it was rather by too much pressure from his Raptor form which caused a severe injury in his stomach) & was injured for a month to the point of not being able to move by himself (also, it happened for the first time straight after the xenoverse incident & in order for him to beat the league/the cardinals & Lumen/champion Aster carried him all the way through Zodiac mountain cuz he loved him & he also wanted to make up for all the times he was too rough with Sorrel, second time was in the fith part of the DLC which was slightly very different from the actual fifth pass, it was a complete different story where Trey also got revived), all that clearly isn’t something that makes life perfect, makes you happy all the time, this is all clearly rough things to go through, he also has trauma from all of this even nowadays & will always have, plus being a big softie is a huge disadvantage (from my own experience, its so fucking annoying! Screw it!) so that’s something that proves he’s not perfect

I just realized through these asks you could craft a mini au scenario for Scourge. Where he got deleted, but revived again with that moment etched into his brain. He is just so deeply terrified of that happening to him again, he often stays awake for long periods of time leading to these extreme sleep deprivation episodes.

It's almost giving me ''Happy Death Day'' (the movie) vibes. My man is gonna be walking around like a chaotic zombo. The sleep slowing him down, making him feel detached from reality, only for his adrenaline and anxiety kick him right in the face, keeping him constantly awake and face the life he's in right now.
